The shipping industry is vital to global trade, but it also significantly contributes to marine pollution. To address this issue, international regulations such as the Marine Pollution (MARPOL) Convention were established to safeguard the aquatic environment. This study assessed the awareness and practical application of MARPOL regulations among maritime students in Ozamiz City. A total of 282 students from Accredited Maritime School participated in the survey. The findings revealed a high level of awareness and strong adherence to environmental protection practices, indicating that maritime education effectively fosters environmental responsibility and compliance with international maritime standards. The study recommends further enhancement of instructional methods and training programs to strengthen students' readiness for professional maritime responsibilities.
